How to Maintain Your Balayage

How to Maintain Your Balayage

Balayage is one of the most flattering and low-maintenance ways to wear dimensional color, but the way you care for it at home makes all the difference in how long it stays bright, soft, and glossy.

Start by switching to a sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner. Sulfates strip the cuticle and can dull tone quickly, especially on lighter sections. Wash your hair less often, using dry shampoo in between to preserve the softness of the color.

Heat is the other big factor. Always use a heat protectant before blow drying or curling, and try to keep your iron temperature under 350°F. If you notice your ends feeling dry, schedule a Deep Conditioning Treatment with your stylist — it restores shine and smoothness in a single session.

Every 8 to 12 weeks, come in for a quick toning or gloss service. It neutralizes any unwanted warmth, revives brightness, and keeps the hand-painted dimension looking expensive and polished.
